I am looking to purchase a 180g (72x24x24) glass aquarium and want suggestions on the brand and best possible price. Local dealer has both AGA and Perfecto available, and I can pick up a Glass Cages model at an upcoming show (May 6) if I order in advance. Does the Glass Cages model have the large glass center brace like most of their models?

you should be able to order a Glass cages tank with the center brace however you would like it. You just have to ask. However I do not like the overflow boxes on the glass cages tanks. They do not cut the teeth into the box and do not even glue them on. You have to do this yourself. Kind of weird. They also had silicone all over the tank. Very sloppy job. Not nearly the quality that I am used to from my other vendors, but they would not do a tank the size that I needed so I went with glass cages. I doubt I will deal with them again. I do not know anything about your other choices.

I have a oceanic 180 gallon tank, and love it, craftmanship is excellant.

Your tank may have had the old style overflows which were fine. My tank is one year old and is the NEW style. Don't you hate it when an "improvement" makes the product worse?

Yes I do, They are Ok, I am only running a Mag 12 so the flow is fine thru the teeth of the overflows. I also run 5 maxijet 1200 to get great flow in the tank.

I went with a Lee Mar starfire 180 with euro bracing and black silicone and it has been wonderful, excellent clarity for a glass tank and the overflow (one large single) is great as well.

The quality of the tank is mediocore in comparision to other tanks I have ordered. Especially from Vizio. Those are great tanks. Lee Mar is great as well and I have a 300 coming from them next month. Unfrotuanately these are both in CA. If you are up for a long drive or paying for shipping (probably around $600) it might be worth it
I thought the Megaflows also have holes at the bottom?

My Lee Mar was around $850 if I can remember correctly, this was about 5 years ago.
