I love being at work...but being at work is even better when i have set up a third nano tank, and this one is on my desk at work..hahaha

Just a small 1g w/ HOB filter, and small 9w PC for lighting.
2lbs Fiji Pink LS
2lbs Marshall Island LR

I just set this tank up about an hour and a half ago. Im going to wait about a week before adding a small (VERY small) clown. As far as corals, im going to just do a few zoo frags and a small feather duster. nothing to crazy because I wont ever be there on the weekends to tend to it.

Here are a few pics...Let me know what you all think :)

Thanks for looking...

The minimum size tank for a clown is 10 gallons. No fish, none, can fit in a gallon tank. You could maybe, maybe fit a clown goby in a 2.5 gallon tank, but no fish will fit in a gallon tank, let alone a 3.5 clownfish. Please do not do it. Get a little shrimp or something. Actually, over weekends it will be impossible to control the evaporation and even keeping corals will be hard, dont put anything except corals. Otherwise, it looks good, sry for the rant.

Might want to look into covering it somehow...clowns are jumpers.

Also, that's really not a lot of room for a clownfish, or any fish for that matter...it's up to you, i guess, but I think it'd be best to just keep to some inverts.

ghetto rig an ATO cause the weekends and nights are going to wreak havoc on that tank. a gravity fed dripper would work nicely. as for livestock, inverts, if anything, but IMO that's pushing it already. a couple sexy shrimp at most?

nothing against what you haev to say about MTS for clown fish, but ive had one of these on my desk before about 3 years ago with a clown, clam, and some zoos. all which lived for over a year, until i took the tank down and took the clown home to put him in my 60g. when i did that he died, but until then he was completly fine for over a year in this little tank.

As far as evaporation, dont worry about that either. first thing monday morning, RO...every day when i get to work...RO.

Like I said, Ive done this before..this isnt a "project" too see if I can keep a fish alive at work. Its mearly something fun to do

Clowns dont jump...but thanks for the input :)

i thought any fish with a swim bladder could potentially jump..but anyways, my OLD tank when i ran a setup similar to yours had hardcore evap in mere hours. if you leave from work a 5pm and come back at 9am, the 16 hour period would've owned me so bad, but then you have done this before so do your thing.

A ghetto riged ATO isn't a bad idea but you've had success before. I guess a clown could jump but I've never had any of my clowns jump nor heard of any from my friends. I think you're safe on the jumping. How big is the clown anyways? The tank looks dope and off to a good start.

Well see about an ATO..that is a good idea exigency!!!!

the clown will be a tank raised baby probably about 1/2" long...VERY SMALL...PLEASE DONT SEND THE "FISH POLICE"..LOL

Your being a little ignorant about it, just because most clowns arent jumpers doesnt mean they cant and just because your clown lived for a year doesnt mean it was the right enviroment. If you want a clown, get a ten gallon.

I can take pics of my very ghetto-rigged ATO if you would like.. you've just got to put it somewhere higher than the tank, of course. my onyx clown i used to have went carpet surfing once, very suprising, i'd say.

HAHAHAA...I dont understand why your so upset over this. Ive had a clown very happy with his tank, and never had a problem.

And yes, as far as jumping, "ALL FISH" can, and may in some circumstances, but there are fish that are known as jumpers, and thanks for your $0.02 but clowns arent one of them..LOL

I'd like to see. What I'm invisioning is like a water bottle with a tube coming out with a small ball valve. Kind of like a drip acclimater and then set the drip. Just wondering what the rate would be for over the weekend.

Please do, That is a great idea!

Just move the clown to your 30 when it gets big enough. That will solve all the fish police problems. Put a piece of paper over the tank when you leave your desk. He'll probably bounce off if he ever decides to carpet swim.

i just took some pictures with my camera phone so the quality is TERRIBLE.

the water jug is cable tied to a flex hose tube which is cable tied to a dripper you can find at home depot in packs of 10 or so.
