1st look @ my new build my LED fixture

^ oh man I would just call them ask for cara.
must be pretty busy I think there still a growing but small company.

a feature of this light i like are the tank mount feet. they make a great connection to the tank very rubbery and it allows the light to tilt +/- 22*

here a not so good photo the flash made it look like crap. but you get the idea:

i think i am going to have the light in the front and angle it back. will have to play around with it...

here is a pic of one channel I forgot with one at 4% was hoping for more of a moon glow.
we will have to see once there is water it might change a bit.

Couple days later I'm still waiting to hear back from them on my email.
For some reason they created a support ticket but it still says processing.
Don't know why someone couldn't just reply via email with some answers.

Yeah, it always took several days to go back and forth via email, I imagine they get lots of emails to sort thru, the tickets just make sure they don't loose one and can keep track of it for future corespondence.

BTW I also don't really like their "actinic" stock strips but guess what you can custom order one with whatever combo you wan't and now that they carry 420nm chips you can get darn close to mimicking the spectrum of the good old VHO actinic tubes. Lots of 420 with a pinch of RB and Blue comes dang close to the spectrum graph of the VHO actinic bulbs. The custom section let's you play around with the spectrum graph of the fixture with whatever combo you want to try out.

Oh I did not know about that...so I guess not but maybe? i dont see anything about it in the accessories on there web site. that said the top of the light is a channel so I bet it would be pretty easy to DIY something. but of course I have know idea what bracket your talking about. haha

^ yeah they do, it looks like a sleek option if you wanna hang a cpl lights.
but i don't think thats what he was talking about?

You are right. Reefbrite has a hanging bracket for three lights and I just sold two Reefbrites so I have Reefbrite on the mind.

It would be pretty easy to fashion a mount for the BML.

here is a shoot of it placed on the tank with stand still no water or sand but IMO still a lil to bright to be moon lights.

I do wonder what it will look like once the tank is full of rock water and sand tho..

If you really want an moon light effect I would buy a cheap little 1 led 3000 kelvin setup for $20 and have your controller turn it on and off rather than run your main light 24/7. I bought a RKL moon light controller once and two pods for my 300. Even turning it way down it still was too bright and stressed out my fish so I sold it.
