I want to thank everyone that showed up to the first meeting. It was nice to be able to meet some new people in the hobby.
And I want to tell all of the ones that couldn't make it that I hope you can make it to the next one.

The next one HAS to be some place with less noise so we can talk with out yelling.

I would like to this again in the end of Febuary or begining of March.

It would be nice to be able to swap some frags between members at the next one as well.

Yes next meeting needs to be somewhere a bit quieter as I didn't get a chance to meet those that were at the other end of the table. It will be nice to swap some frags and any equipment that anyone is specifically looking for....you know odds and ends that we may have kicking about ......

I am trying to talk the wife into having it at our place. It is small but I should be able to get most in there. The bad thing is I just have the 29 to look at. but it is a start.

Ahhh you have to start somewhere and there is nothing wrong with a 29g.....I have one of those myself and as they say.....size doesn't matter..... :)

I agree with LornaS on that. My first one was a 20 and it kept my attention for hours on end, day by day. The amount of life is amazing. Also let me know about the next meeting. I dont have squat right now but I would love to get involved and learn more from people instead of reading it out of a book.

It was nice to meet some new reefers. I agree the next venue should be a little quieter. I sat in the middle of the table and felt torn between the two side's different conversations.

I'd be willing to host a meeting at my house its a bit out of the way but its an option. I live between Huntertown and Churubusco. I'm up for pretty much any saturday (sorry fireworm) let me know.

By the way, i am glad to see that you finally posted something in here. Did you get a chance to look what lights you had in the garage yet? Or come up with a $ yet for the stuff.

I would like to get something set up for meeting #2 in the next week or so. This way if anyone has stuff to frag and want to trade or sell they have time to get it ready.

Did you check into the library? They have meeting rooms. I dont know if they charge to use them or not. If they dont charge then you could move around to differant ones so everybody could attend.

I have thought about that, and wouldnt mind that at all. Also I would like to try to setup a behind the scene visit to the zoo as well.

FWMAS had a behind the scenes a couple of years ago. Very cool to see how they had things setup. Got to touch some jellies. Troy, who was running the group back then, set it up for us. We were there early in the spring if I remember correctly.

library's are alright but boring. feels too much like a class instead of something enjoyable. we tried that last time. the best thing is if different people host at least then you have an aquarium to look at. although we could have one meeting at the downtown library where they do have aquariums and everyone can checkout all that awesome concrete i help put in around the building, yaaaaay!!!

P.S.
BIG WORM i'll get with ya on the tank stuff tomorrow if i can get my garage open after the snow.

I can always host something later in the season.....when I can lock my 3 dogs outside in the yard otherwise they'd drive everyone nuts I am sure. Again, like most I have a very small house
