$2.00 frag sale

I just seen a banner for something fishy and they are having a $2.00 frag sale today! Why was i not informed about this???? I feel like getting in the car right now and going!

If anyone went down today please post some info on what they had.

I got an email from them this morning about the sale. I didn't go down, but I know a guy who did. The $2 frags were all softies...no LPS or SPS.

Yeah I hred nothing about the sale either.

I got there around 2:30 ish and found 4 badly receded lobos. I bought all 4. I looked and looked but that was all the LPS I found. Most others were just loose clusters polyps and galexia single or double heads. They also had some large - 10 headed - acans for sale BOGO for $50. Nice purples and greens, but nothing I was looking for. I happened to be in the area for class, but otherwise I wouldn't have made the trip from Hazleton.

everytime i've went they have $2 frags on the sand....softies...thats where i got my first corals to try with my crappy lighting...they are doing well

This is the second "questionable" sale they've put on the website recently. That last one was 2 ""selected" corals for $50. It ended up being about a dozen really hurting LPS in one tank tucked way in the back of the store. Had to ask where they were. I hate when people do this just to generate traffic, and feel really bad for people that drive long distances as a result.

I was there just a few days ago and liked their $2 sale. It sort of looked like they just cleaned up their tanks and everything too small to put back on a rack got put up front. But I still got a few nice colored Zoa's and two very nice (but very small) mushrooms.

There's nothing questionable about the $2 frag sale. I was there last weekend (the second week of the sale) and they had like 100 $2 frags. Nothing on the ad said $2 SPS frag sale. The owners are good people, so I take offence to somebody saying their sales are questionable.

You didn't drive an hour and a half to find one tankful of morbid-looking LPS after taking the banner on the website seriously. Were you there for that one? I've been a customer there since it operated out of a garage, and I'll still go there. Doesn't mean I have to take this stuff as "good practice".

Let's not get carried away here.

IMO, it's like a sidewalk sale. Draws customers, you put everything you couldn't sell before on discount and everyone thinks they got a deal. Everyone does it in some form. What are we expecting for $2?
