Hi, I have a freshwater 2.5 gal hexagon tank in my kitchen. It has incandescent lighing and an undergravel filter. I was considering converting it to saltwater, and someone mentioned that seahorses would be good (as long as i would be willing to hatch brine daily) because they like cooler h2o. I would like more info on seahorses, I have been reading the threads here, but does anyone know of any good sites or books? Thanks! If anyone has any suggestions to me doing this it would be appreciated! Would I need a skimmer? Do I need live rock?

going to be too small for a seahorse tank i believe, you could possibly do dwarf in that size but i personally wouldn't go with anything less than a 10 gal tank jmo

From what I have been reading dwarfs are the hardest kind to keep. But I would do alot of reasearch before you do anything.

Yeah, I've been doing some reading and it sounds like I would be better off to start our with something bigger, like hippocampus erectus. I would need a bigger tank for that, so I'll put that idea on hold for a while, until I get my 90 gal just right :-) Thanks for the info guys!

ya'll have no faith...

this size tank is PERFECT for dwarves... for dwarves, smaller IS better. no ten gallon for them, 5 gallon is the best, 2.5 very doable...
