i'm thinking of doing a 2.5 gallon bonsai-style BB reef. the bottom would be 'seeded' with GSP for grass, and i'm thinking of doing some birdsnest on a rock for a 'tree'. now, the other thing i'm trying to do with this tank is use stuff i've just got lying around this house, so i'm going to be using a 10 watt coralife 50/50 PC bulb. the corals will be <7 inches away from the light.
what do you guys think? will it be enough? is there another SPS that would work better than the birdsnest?
my back-up plan is a LPS like torch or hammer, but the SPS is closer to the look i'm trying to create.
