2 dwarf angel in a 40 breeder?

I would like to put a coral beauty and a flame angel in my 40 breeder reef tank. I will be putting them both in at the same time, so overall on the average will this work? Also will they most likely or not pick on my Lobophyillia brain coral? The others corals I have are Xenia,Toadstool leather, chalice and mushrooms and 4 maxi mini anemones. The tank is full with lots of places to hide but not overly crowded.

In a tank that size, you are almost certain to have problems with them. I've had a Flame for years, and she is the boss and the only angel in the tank. My advice would be to choose one of them . In my opinion, the Flame is less likely to pick at corals, but once again, it's a hit or miss proposition.

Thanks for the input. I will just get one of them. Probably a flame as I already have a coral beauty in one of my other reef tank. He has been good at leaving the corals alone (softies). I don't have any lps with him.

Get them very small and this can work as they will function as a mixed species pair, and i have kept pairs in tanks rather smaller than this. Anything over 3,4 cm or anything that's been in a shop a long time is not good tho'.

The lobo is risky tho' - angelfish candy

I have a lemonpeel and a flame/rusty hybrid together in a 29 gallon and they are fine. The lemonpeel is much larger than the other but still doesn't really harass the flame/rusty.

Give it a try!
