The mad reefer
Greetings! The first picture shows a "treasure" I collected today. I was out fishing and stripped some of this mat-like plant off of a buoy... just to look at it up close when I got home. Upon inspection, I saw it was teeming with pods so I threw it into my refugium - then thought better of that act afterwards.

Can you ID it, and should I keep it or get rid of it now? The broad leaves measure 5 mm (3/16 ") wide.

The second picture shows a brown sea lettuce of some sort. I was given a samll piece by my LFS and stuck it under a small coral piece. He didn't know exactly what it was and had it for many years.

Thanks,
Larry

Enteromorpha intestinalis

Phylum: Chlorophycota (Green seaweeds e.g. sea lettuce & gut weed)
Class: Ulvophyceae
Order: Ulvales
Family: Ulvaceae
