2 new corals for tank(pics)

i was givin 2 new corals a frogspawn and a candy coral last nite... tell ya the frogspawn is diggin the 250w mh's thats pretty much all i need for that correct. (no secondary feeding)

i also got a candy coral i should just be able to feed it a small shrimp/piece of frozen shrimp every so often correct how many times does everyone else feed them? also will just like safeway frozen shrimp chunks be fine? are they photosynthetic at all?

Candycanes don't have to be fed, but it does promote faster growth.

oh awesome...i would like it to grow faster maybe once a week or every other week i give it some shrimp....

I feed mine about once to twice a week, I use shrimp from the grocery store, just chop it up and place it into the candy canes grasp. Mine has been produced 4 new heads and is in the process of splitting another head (I think thats what its doing) in the few months I have had it.

Better health when fed IME. They will grow and multiply fine without supplemental feeding but mine extend better when fed regularly. Without seconday feeding each head shrinks a bit. They become fleshier for me when fed.

Frogspawns will do OK without feeding but also will accept small bits of food as well. Weekly feedings for each will do them good IMO.
