2 Overflow Boxes with Bean Animal Setup?

Hello. I just purchased a used 12' tank that hasn't been drilled. I plan on using (2) 36" overflow boxes and drilling the back to use the Bean Animal setup. Will I have a problem tuning them with having the 2 separate boxes? Does anyone know of a thread that addresses this? Thanks.

So you are doing two separate BA systems? If so I would think that to be problematic.

How much flow are you trying to get? I am assuming this is an acrylic tank at 12'?

That was my original plan. I'm flexible though. Idealy, I'd like to be able to turn over in the ballpark of 4000 gph. Could that be done with one BA and 1.5 inch bulkheads?

Here's the tank. I'd love to do that but with the top bracing I think I'm stuck with a 48" box at the most. I'm going to cut some rigid foam into the shape and see what I can fit.

Ah plenty of room... just slide the flat pieces in and assemble it in the tank. That is how most people do it anyways Cool tank though. What part of ohio are you in?

Ah! Good idea Mike. I'm just north of Columbus, Lewis Center. My brother in law lives right on the Hudson/Streetsboro border.

I have another thread on this but is it a concern with the tip bracing not to have any access to the top of the overflow box? There's no cutouts.

I guess that would depend on how far below the bracing the waterline will be? How wide is the bracing?

I guess you could also build a ghost overflow on the inside and drill a bunch of holes through the back. Them Build the BeanAnimal box on the back side (External).

Kind of like this -

All the teeth turn that overflow box into nothing more than a dual corner overflow length wise... just sayin.

Ya I was not posting that for the overflow part but as an example of the bean animal on the back as opposed to inside the tank die to the restrictive euro bracing.
