2 Pairs in a 125g?

I have a pair of percs and a pair of pink skunks. I was thinking of trying to put both pairs in my 125. Neither pairs are spawning yet, and the percs are actually still a little young. Any thoughts?

If I do it, I will get some egg crate to divide the tank for awhile. The pink skunks should be too big to get thru the egg crate.

Anyone else have any experience adding another pair of clownfish or having 2 pairs in a 125?

it really is a toss up. I have seen 2 pairs of true percs live in harmony in a 70g cube (Onyx and Picassos). But I have also seen some go at it until there was only two left. Sorry can't be of much help but good luck

I have dont this in a 150(tank dims 48X30X24). I have a true perc mated pair with a pair of pink skunk clowns. In my system each pair had its own anemone, sebae for percs, and carpet for skunks. Starting off with the egg crate would be good to help them get used to each other....

I personally wouldn't do it. While pink skunks seem passive at first, that will all change the minute they start spawning. My pair have become very aggressive since they started spawning, and won't let any other fish (( non-clown )) near their area, couldn't imagine what they would do to another clown.

I too have 2 pairs currently going in my 150 and have so for over a year (B&W occellaris and Orange Skunks). The oranges stay to their carpet anemones while the occellaris stay in their 9+ BTAs. I have had great success with the setup as the Oranges have began laying and the occellaris are showing signs of setting up a nesting site. As everyone has said though it is hit and miss.

I have a pair of black occellaris and a pair of percs in my 75 gallon for about 2 years and haven't had any problems. One pair hosts in my rose anemones and the other in my bubble corals.

Put them in together. So far so good. Actually the smaller perc is chasing his woman thru the egg crate, but the pink skunks don't seem to care so far.

I have pair of black Ocellaris, a pair of maroon clowns and 1 orange skunk. Originally the pair of BO were in a bubble tip until I added a long tentacled anemone and another bubbletip which the maroons had just hosted to. Well the female BO started anemone shopping and of course the male wasn't far behind, now the male has booted the maroons out(they're much smaller) and he's hosting the new bubbletip in addition to the long tentacled anemone which is close(separated by a small rock) and the female is back to the original Bubbletip. In the mean time the maroons are homeless :( the orange skunk is by herself in a carpet anemone which she grudgingly shares w/ an anemone crab and sexy shrimp.
