2 pairs of clown in tank?

Is it possible to have two pairs of clown in a small tank? I have fallen upon two beautiful black aussie clowns and would love to put them in my tank but my snowflakes have been in that tank for about a month and a half. I also have a rainbow BTA that the snowflakes have not hosted yet. If I catch the snowflakes, rearrange the rock a little and re-acclimate them together in the same bucket, do you think they'll be fine?

When you say "small" what is small? I have to types of clown fish in my 180. I have yellow striped clowns and percula clowns but like I said its in a 180 and I still have fights happen.

I have a 50 gallon. Maroon clowns are known to be extremely aggressive though. But thanks for your input. It seems ill-advised but just thought I'd ask first.

Some people will disagree till death, but I have always said "try it and see if it works, if you have a big enough system" but having a 50 gal will cause issues. Even in my 180 causes issue's only at feeding time though, between feedings the Maroon goes over there and get's triple teamed.

It may work temporarily but once they become sexually mature and start spawning you're more than likely going to be left with one pair of clowns, especially in that size of tank.

The two clowns you have unfortunately are mine, but guess thats what happens when you deploy overseas and leave them with your wife to take care of. They are not Aussie and they are very submissive clowns. They are tank bred from a breeder that got out of the business a couple of years ago. Anything bigger then them is likely to dominate them. Anything their size may get along as long as the environment is disturbed to disrupt territories.
