2 Part Dosing

Hi,

I have been dosing with two a two part system for about 2 months now. My CAL is always in the range of 380-420 when using the recommend dose.

My Kh is 11.

I am happy with my KH but would like to push up the CAL, do I need to increase my dose beyond the recommend dose, or perhaps add more mag or something else?

can you explain what setup you have. like what dosing pumps and what 2 part

The recommendations on the bottles are just that, a recommendation, each tank is different and as such a specific dosing regiment should be developed for the tank.

An easy way to see what your tank is doing is to test daily at the same time over the course of a week, the test results should give you an idea of the daily requirements. Once you have a good idea of the daily dosing requirements, you can adjust the levels up or down to fine tune your parameters.

do you have a good dosing thread i can take a peak at. i'm looking into 2 part dosing my 45 but have absolutely zero knowledge with it

Thanks. I will first try to add some magnesium. If that fails I will increase my dosing.
