2 part question (coralline algae, Egg crate)

I have had my tnak for about 6 months and the cal has been at about a steady 400-430 and my dkh stays aat about 10.5-11. Does coralline need alot of lighting cause it doesnt grow anywhere?. it is on the live rock(came with it) but non has appeared anywhere else. I jsut put t5s on so maybe that will make a difference?

also i went to HD to get eggcrate and they had no idea wat i was talking about is it called somehitng else?. And what is it used for besides fishtanks???

The eggcrate could go by light difusser as well.

What lighting did you have before?

Eggcrate is sold as fluorescent light diffuser panels, often along the back wall. Some are transparent acrylic sheets and some are open like the white eggcrate.

ok and i had NO lighting like the one that came with the hood on a breeder 55g

Make sure your magnesium is up to par. My calcium was 420 for the longest time and coraline would not grow. My mag was at 1150 which was low. Brought the mag up slowly to 1300 and my coraline exploded.
