first.. i got a new anthias today and I noticed white spots on both fins. should I worry?

also, my 2 percs are doing this twitching thing against a rock in the middle of the tank. the larger one will do it briefly and the smaller one will follow with longer durations. did they pair up?

thanks! :)

I would go to the Fish section and ask those questions. Probably a better chance of getting an answer. And then come back here and educate us. I would like to know what you find out.

I was going to post it in the fish section but posted here first incase someone knew.
the white spots on the anthias disappeared but I can't get him to eat. :(
clowns are still acting funny. From 1 out of 1000 times I got into the search, it looks like it's pairing behavior. :)

twitching in the clowns is definitely a courtship behavior.. Trigger. Heard lots about your fish. we need pics!
as far as the Athias. I have 4 and they sleep on the sand, in the crevices of rocks etc and many times get fine sand on thier fins. When I first got them I noticed the same thing,, It was just sand in my case. See if the spots are still there this evening

Mlivvy,

What kind of anthias is it?

poknsnok,

I am planning on posting an updated video of the tank and some photos in the near future.

it's a female pseudanthias tuka. it's pink with a yellow line across. she's still not eating and my larger false perc keeps chasing/smackin her around. :(

Purple Queen Anthias do not have the best track record in captivity and can be susceptible to a range of maladies. They generally do not eat and slowly waste away. They do not take harrasement from other fish very well.
