It sounds like I can connect 2 streams to one 7091 single controller with the use of a connecting cable. My tank is 72" and I wanted to put one at each end. Are the cables long enough for me to do this?

Yes, the drivers would be placed near the controller but you have 16ft of cable from the driver to the pump. Keep in mind that this set up is not ideal, both pumps will do the same thing, so both will be on high power and both will be on low power at the same time and it really limits your control options.
