2 wavebox's mounted behind rockwork

If I installed 2 wavebox's mounted behind rockwork to hide the size of these monsters, how would it affect performance? I will have a center overflow with a wavebox on either side. The surge effect would still work corrct?

You would need to leave the output unobstructed for this to work. Ideally the rock would be on a PVC scaffold and create a pocket that the wavebox sits in so it can be easily removed for cleaning.
