2 year growth pics...enjoy! (From frags to colonies)

I dug up one of my older threads from the stickhead forums :lol: since I thought you guys might appreciate my progression shots.....


Original tank was a 55 gallon with an AquaC Urchin skimmer. Lights were 2 X 250 watt XM 10K w/ 220W VHO actinics, no reactor, but topped off daily with kalkwasser.



These were the original frags I had. shots taken in February 2004

May 2006 Update: I had Issues with my main centerpiece colony since it was growing way out of proportion, and was encroaching on a few surrounding colonies. I thought about fragging the whole colony, but was fortunate enough that a friend had an open spot in his 150 gallon tank. So, it went there. That same week, the Cap had also decided to frag itself, so that had to get taken out as well. I took the opportunity to give some more colonies some more growing and breathing room, so the tank now looks less packed as in the pic:
