20 gal stocking ideas

I know it's been discussed a billion times but i wanted to know what you guys think!

Im getting back into the hobby after a long hiatus. I am currently setting up a 65 SPS reef that i have complete control over (which my Fiance was not happy about, although she has never been in the hobby, she still wants some choice over fish, doesnt really care about coral..). SO, to teach her how to keep a reef, etc, i bought her a Nuvo 20. So i now have for her:

-Nuvo 20 tank
-Reef Octopus NS80 Nano Protein Skimmer
-Innovative Marine AUQA Gadget MiniMax All-In-One Media Reactor
-Kessil A160WE with gooseneck mount
-ATO (just to keep it more stable)

So with that said, i believe i should be able to keep a decent bioload and with the lighting, some decent coral (probably going to stick to softies in this one so she can watch them grow and spread).

Of course, as most people getting into the hobby, she is just dying for a clown and nem (ugh). I'd prefer something a bit more challenging (think pipefish, mandarin, etc).

I'd really like a pistol shrimp/goby pair, but im not sure if the tank will handle that kind of bioload with a nem and clown all together. I was thinking if I do end up getting her the clown and nem (once the tank has some solid time to establish), i could get some cool inverts of some sort.

My question is, what kind of bio load can i expect to keep the tank stable and relatively spike-free? I've never had an all-in-one/sumpless tank before, and even when i kept a 20gal it still had a 20gal sump. I've always done regular w/c and kept a close eye on my reefs. With that said, what are your thoughts on these?

Option 1
-O. Clown
-RBTA
-goby of some sort
-Pistol Shrimp
-CUC

Option 2
-O. Clown
-RBTA
-Mandarin (given pod culture is sufficient)
-Clam (given lighting is sufficient)
-Various small inverts (given bioload is okay)

Option 3
-More of a "rare" clown pair
-RBTA
-Various softies
-Clam
-more obscure inverts (crabs/shrimp)

Your input is appreciated! So excited to be back in the hobby

Any of those options will work well with a 20g. Limit the size of the CUC and you'll contain your bio load. Those lil suckers create quite the detritus.
