i need to know what you guys think about this stocking list,

its for a 20high that will start off as a fowlr and i will eventually put some inverts in it

im gunna have a 20long sump(sump/fuge)and im thinking also about adding a ten for the extra room(fuge/frag)

heres what id like to put in it

-2x Occellarius(sp?) Clowns
-1x yellowhead jawfish

would that be too many fish for 40 or 50 gallons(display+sump+10(MAYBE))?

is that too many fish in the space of the 20?

both of those fish have a very small territorial range and I think the 3 could do well in a 20 with the extra volume of a sump. get the clowns at the same time to avoid squabbles between them. make sure the jawfish has a substrate it can burrow in.

(Amphiprion ocellaris)

sounds good, any other thoughts, also, im thinking i could probably just kind of build sand up on one side right?(for thejawfish)

I've never been able to keep sand at different depths (except in one FW planted tank that has some large driftwood) without it leveling out over time. They really need a mixed size substrate of about 3" to burrow in.

ive seen people point powerheads at the sand(or just above it) and it piled up, do you think this would hinder their burrowing?

what i did in my fw planted tank was kind of create a wall with a rock near a corner then fill the area behind it with sand. if you want, you can also bury the rock. powerhead placement is also a crucial factor in sand movement so placing one above it pointing outwards would keep the sand below relatively high.
