20 gallon nano

Hello I am new to the hobby. I had my 20 gallon tank going for about 4 months now. And everything is going great I have a Gold Midas blenny and to Picasso clowns several hermit crabs and snails as well as a banded coral shrimp as well as a banded coral shrimp a banded sea star and I think its called a mint shrimp but I don't remember. I also have two mushroom corals and a yellow rock flower me anenome. My big question is that I want to get a mandarin goby, however I'm not sure if I have a stable pod population or not or if you can even maintain a stable pod population in a 20 gallon tank. Was looking for some feedback and didn't know what you guys thought maybe I could find some more ideas off the people who have been doing it longer than I have. Just to mention that I have been doing Freshwater for a very very long time and I have a 55 gallon discus tank with Rams and all kinds of other Tetras and stuff and it's doing fine so not necessarily new to the hobby but new to saltwater for sure. Thanks for all your input and let me know if you guys want me to put pictures and not sure how to do it yet but I think I can figure out.

prob never with a small tank BUT if you're willing there is always work around's. Buying pods like you would mysis but kept in the fridge will do the trick the only question is it worth it to you. Hope this helps alot of RC folks will just tell you no

What are your thought on phytoplankton? Can you keep a somewhat health supply in my tank without adverse affects?

If the nem is for the clowns, bubble tips aren't a natural host for Picasso clowns. So they may not want anything to do with it. A 20 gallon tank is going to be very difficult to have a stable pod population for a mandarin. What size Refugium do you have?

No it's ok, we are all new at some point. But I am going to be frank with you, keeping an anemone in a 20 gallon is going to be very difficult and perculas host a more advanced anemones than bubble tips. That are very specific and have a tendency to die and kill everything in your tank. And eat your fish. A 10 gallon fuge with a 20 gallon display will not support a mandarin though. I would put that fish on a wish list for the future when you have a lot more experience and a much larger tank and a larger Refugium that has been established for a year and is very productive. It is also a dream fish of mine, but I won't risk it until I am certain that I have the right setup for one and I would caution you to do the same. As it is, I think your 20 gallon is fully stocked and adding more fish could cause some issues.
