Do you run any supplemental lighting? Imho the 20k is too blue and the 10k too yellow. So you could run the 10k with actinic supps, or the 20k with 10k supps!

thats how we run the 210 show reef at my LFS.

I see only a few SPS in the tank. I usually like 20K but IMO the 10K makes your softies/zoos/LPS/etc. look good. Nice tank. :thumbsup:

If you run the 20k get 10k VHO's, if you run the 10k get actinic VHO's. You could also mix up the haildes but you may get the strip effect

how long is the tank? 6 foot? before i sold my 150 i had a 400 watt xm 15k in the center and 2 250 watt 10k's on the sides. it gave really nice color but IMO i would stick with the 10k halide in the center because it is brighter and use supplemental actinics vho's or t5's. post pics after u decide.

I tried 2 10k sides and 20 k midlle, and honestly u can tell d diff in the tank. Q would sps grwth better with 20k in the future and I'm assuming that with time the xm 20 will start to look more like 14-15k ? is that the case?

I have recently switched from 3 x 10k xm 400 with 440 vho blue attinics to 3 20k xm with the same blue attinics, now while of course the 20ks are a bit dimmer, I have found at least on electronic ballast and have seen many pics, the 20ks are a lot bluer in pics that in real life. I've tried just using the MH and I perfer with the 440w of blue attinics and my tank is not even as close to the blue as in the pics. I am just saying pics can be hard to tell the true color of the tank.

I beleive u r right the tank looks bluer in pics, or is it that i became accustomed to the bright yellow of the 10k coralview, anyways will be using this scheme for a while , currently in the process of upgrading my filtration and skimming so have to wait to add more critters ans sps. Any experience with sps and 20k lights in terms of growth and coloration?
