Like the title says, it has been darn near 20 years since I have had a saltwater tank. I am wanting to have another go at it.
Man, a lot has changed!!
First tank was a fish only (aggressive) 55g while I was in the USMC. Last tank was a 90g mixed reef.
I am looking at a 75g Seapora(sp) from lfs for $75. Any thoughts on that brand?
40 breeder sump, perhaps smaller or maybe a Modular Marine sump.
Bean Animal...internal or external? Seems that the original design will skim the entire surface vs a series of holes flowing into an external. I like the aesthetics of the external, and in that vein it could be a pre made ghost type overflow, again Modular Marine, or DIY?
I really am starting all over again. I keep reading here on the forum and taking it all in. I find myself looking at the disease sub forum and learning a lot as well.
What is/are "typical" QT sizes? I might just leave it set up and running. Should I, could I leave some fish or CUC in there?
Sorry for the overwhelming intro thread but, like I said, it has been darn near 20 years ago since I have been in Saltwater Reef tanks.
