Deffenatly something worth looking into.. expecially on a brand new build

I've been reasurching those lately..and there are alot of disaster turned into success stories after adding an Algae Turf Scubber..

Newbie question... Is an algae turf scrubber the same as chaeto(sp) reactor?

I'm still pretty new as well... I'm not sure what a cheato reactor is..

A turf scrubber.. basically you make algae grow in a confined/easy access area.. and make it grow fast...
In turn it robs the water of the excess nutrients that would otherwise feed or grow bad algae in your tank.. and then once a week you harvest the algae.. and all the excess nutrients..

Now I'm sure that's described a whole lot better and accurately than I can remeber.... but all of the results are amazing... and it's super easy to DIY..

I'm going to build an "upflow ats"
