So I found out there was about 3 different colors of paint. After sanding it for 3 days. It was time for some paint. I used white appliance epoxy spry paint.
Well I got the sump with the tank but once I cleaned it up. I didn't like the way it was set up so I cut out all the baffles. and cut some new baffles out of a thicker black acrylic
my diy filter sock holder
the water test went well I used quietone pump rated for 900 gph
good water flow though the sump with my diy baffle bracket.
Cut the holes for the socks and over flow holes. Also cute fuge cover.
Painted the back white to hide any cords.
Also painted the sides to hide any cords and bottom to mach.
cut the sock holder cover and added bulkheads for the down drain pipes
Got the stand back inside put down a black rubber mat for under the sump its a nice touch.
Let the buffing begin. Got to say I love novus I did go though 2 bottles of the 3rd stage which is the first stage
wet sanded first with 3m 1500 grit then 2000 grit. After the wet sand I used stage 3 than 2 of the novus. I tried stage one but decided to wait on stage one till I was done with the build.
Well it was time for most of it come together and I have to give my self a pat on the back for this one. But I know it is close to being done.
added all the reefkeeper modules and my jeboa RW-8 controller's also jeboa doser to the red electronics bar. the 165watt reef radiance sump light should work well for the fuge witch is 33 gallons.
I order 9 cans only used 6
All the tonga branch I could fined at the moment or i would have used more.
well that made a mess but looks sweet
Nice work !!!!! I did something similar on sump area putting equipment face front on a plywood , it works wonder for hiding and containing the cable mess.....Nice and clean ...Awesome job....Following ...
thanks guys
I am using 4 165 watt Chinese led fixtures
the 2 on the ends are newer and full spectrum dimmable.
the 2 in the middle are a little bit older I will be switching them out down the road.
all the fixtures run on 2 channels so blue will come on first than whites.
also thinking about adding some t5s.
got a little jump on the live stock. win I broke down my old tank and sold off most the live stock. I saved a few of my favorite hardier corals.
Oh ya fyi this frag tank was made out of a 40 gallon acrylic tank I cut in half. and put a 20 long under it for sump.
