This event always draws a very large crowd and plenty of frags!

It's back!!!
The E.O. Smith High School Coral project is proud to announce that it will be hosting the 9th annual New England Frag Farmer's Market at E.O. Smith High School in Storrs CT. It has grown into the biggest swap in the Northeast, bringing in 50+ coral "farmers" from all over the US. I have pretty much all the sellers from last year already signed up (including all the usual big guys) and a bunch of new ones as well. You get the best selection of corals and GREAT prices on frags for sure. All that and a great raffle as well.
I am also adding fragging demos during the day, given by an All-Star line up of fraggers, which should add to the event!
Admission is still only $5 for the day, with no advance tickets sold. The proceeds from the event go to support the coral propagation project I run at the school. I also started a scholarship last year and was able to give $500 to two graduating seniors who were going to pursue marine/conservation related fields- with hopes of being able to give more this year!
I do still have a few spots left if anyone is interested in setting up to sell for the day. It is a super low buy-in and low stress event- aimed at giving the hobbyists a chance to set-up and sell at a show next to the "big guys." Just get in touch soon as the spots will be full very soon!

More details as things come together.

Thanks Joe!
I am still looking to fill the last spot or two with some hobbyists if anyone from LIRA is interested let me know.

Here is the "preliminary list" of sellers for the FFM so far. I apologize for any of the names/locations that are not completely correct - feel free to shoot me a PM to fix if needed. This list does not include any of the "I want to sell but have not paid in people" If you think you should be on here and are not - please let me know! I do still have room for a few more, if anyone wants in but hustle - I have more people who have said they want to sell than I have spaces left...
Thanks-
Jon

They set up a table to get their name out, take memberships, promote events, sell corals to benefit the club, or a mix of the above. No setup fee for clubs, just let me know you want a spot and I will have a table for you.

One week to go! Hope some of my southern reefing brothers and sisters are coming up!
60+ Coral vendors including some of the biggest names in the business. Going to be the biggest one yet, till next year!

On a related note, I need to chat with one of the LIRA "in charges" about next year's FFM and your NERAC plans. Could someone shoot me a PM?

Sunday, March 5.

Doors open at 11, IIRC - someone please correct me if I'm wrong!!

~Bruce

P.S. - Now that I take a second look, that's what it says in the image in the first post! (~_^) 11am-5pm.

Wow, thanks. I saw that post this morning and didn't catch that! It is Saturday March 5th, 11am doors open.

Yeah (blushing) I just realized that this morning ... and am having to scramble coverage at work, 'cause I don't want to miss this!

For the last two months, for whatever reason, I'd thought March 5 was a Sunday . . . and it's not!!! AAACK!!!

To reiterate, SATURDAY, March 5 - and I'm excited about it - I really am!!

We will be there with lots of nice corals and some equipment including
2x mp40wes
Kalk reactor with magnetic stirrer
Chiller
Uv light
Possible a custom sump from a 150 gallon system capable of more (pm if interested)
Various other bips and bobs

I don't know if anyone in your area was on the fence about the FFM this year but I was up there last night for set-ups and I have to say it is easily the best year for coral selection. Every year I see stuff that I have never seen before, but this year was AMAZING! There are so many sellers with so many corals it was scary and the prices that I had talked to people about were GREAT. If you were even considering coming out to pick up a few frags, you should definitely make the trip this year. To add to it, the raffle is the best it has ever been with an Apex jr., Ecotech Radion, multiple frag tanks, lighting fixtures, Sea and Reef Fish, a ton of corals, and a HUGE host of other things - there are no containers of fish food here for sure!
Hope to see you all out today- stop by and say "Hi" while you are there!
Jon
