20G Stocking

Hey everybody, I have a 20g nano reef that has been pretty fishless for a while. All I have is a six line wrasse, and I'm looking to add fish that are colorful, and easily seen (not hiding in rock work out of sight). I like utility fish as well, like my six line. Fish with great personalities are also being considered, so suggestions are greatly appreciated!:spin1:
I love the Coral Beauty and Flame dwarf angelfishes, but I don't want something that will cost me my corals. I would like to hear some of your personal experiences with them!

Thanks in advance,
Hannah

I wouldn't put any angel in a 20g. I have one in my 30 and they are VERY swimmy. I would do 3 smallish fish. Tanks are so much easier to manage under stocked.

Yeah an angel would get aggressive in a 20 gallon. Some smaller species gobies or blennies would work. But I would put more than 3 fish in there.

Gonna be hard to put anything in there with a 6 line, it's going to get aggressive. We're putting a small goby/shrimp pair & some sexy shrimp in ours & that's it. If we add any other fish, they'll be small swimming gobies. About all I can recommend will be a goby/shrimp pair to keep sand stirred & perhaps escape the aggression by staying on the bottom. I can't think of any other "utility" fish that won't either compete with the 6 line or get bullied by it that will fit in a 20. Maybe someone else can.

Wow thanks guys for that information. I had no idea they got aggressive. I'll probably go for some cool shrimp or something, probably a goby. Thanks again guys!

They tend to have at least 20 gallons worth of territory they want to protect LOL. Make sure you get larger shrimp like cleaners or something, as opposed to tiny cute shrimp like sexies or anemone shrimp, so they don't get eaten.

I have a Smith's Blenny, neat lil fella and is definitely active in the water column. as others have said about the 6line, i dont know how it would receive a blenny. HTH and good luck!

A six line will make it difficult to add any thing else to the tank. You should see if you can trade the six line or sell it. Shrimp/goby pair along with a possum wrasse would work.
