Hey everyone, I thought I'd toss up a couple pics here on reef central as I never have before. This is a 210 AGA with two 50g rubbermaid stock tanks as a sump, and fuge. The tank as been setup about 2 years last month, and its been lit by LED's for the last year, my skimmer is a MSX 250 modded with a 6" neck, red devil pinwheels, volute reducers and a CNC made skimmer plate. Here some pic....

Thanks guys. It's pretty low maintaince. I'm doing my 4th water change today. (4th since the tank has been setup).

I have two 55g drums. One for top off water connected to a couple float switches, and one for water changes.

Here are some photo's of my MSX250. I modded it with a 6" neck, valute reducers, red demon needle wheels and a new bubble plate. I took a photo of the stock plate for comparison....

And my massive "sunset monti" however there in no orange so its pretty much just a green encrusting monti. At its wides point probably 10" across because it wraps around the rock.

Thanks! I've managed to keep the aiptasia confined to the sump, with a little help from my copperband and 2 or 3 peppermint shrimp. I had set the tank up originally for a SPS primary tank but I sure did miss the movement. Ended up here with a mixed and I enjoy it much more.

looks awesome, I have read that aiptasia are good filter feeders and your tank is testament to that!, nice job on the mods too.

Thanks! I've been kicking around the idea of removing one of the mods. The extended neck. The MSX version was a 4" and the guy who built mine said "na go big or go home. Let's do 6". It skims dark nasty stuff, and keeps the water clean but it takes almost a month to completely fill the collection cup.

My LED's just turned one year old this month. The unit has two 80w t-5s. I ran the ATI pure bulbs and haven't been too impressed. I ordered some KZ Fiji purples from BRS and they came in this morning. If there is a noticeable difference I'll post a couple pics tonight.

Well I no know why I want impressed with the first bulbs. The were not burning at full brightness. I put the new bulbs in and they were just as dim as the old ones. I started to jiggle the bulb around a bit and poof, they were probably 80% brighter. When I reset my LED fixture, the T5's then return to the dim state. I'm gonna find a new ballast and run it externally. Im also going to return the KZ Fiji bulbs and get some true actinics instead.
