210Gal flow / closed loop

Currently my tank's flow looks like this:

This is very ugly inside and outside of the tank. I'm thinking about changing to this:

Will this work out well or not? What do you think?

* All red pipes are above the tank.

i like the new idea especially if you plumb it so that the order in which the outlets flow goes:
1 2 4 3

in other words outside left, in side left, outside right, inside right.
this will create a really nice wave motion. if it just goes in order from left to right or vice versa it will not create as nice a wave effect.
