I am not parting out at this time, unless i have a buyer for the tank ,stand and canopy. I have invested over $7000.on this system and it is top quality. I have had requests fo r live rock it is figi has no unwanted crittes and has corline all over it. Several of the STR's have seen my system and can say it is nive....

Man...sorry to hear. Take it from me though, you don't want to do this. If you can store or save some of this stuff you will need it at a later date...nothing wrong with taking a break, but don't get rid of everything.

TRUST ME and ask others, this is a bad idea :)

tank is not RR but was drilled in the center.( originally was Gary M's from URS). I plumbed drains to the rear of the tank and coverd the pipe with rock . worked well until the silicone came off of the acrylic. Can be redo using glass to make the boxes. I am located near Ithaca NY. tank is 72"x 24"x 30"

Two shockers in 24 hrs,: First Spitzer, now this. What's happening in the world? Well listen John, you gotta do what you gotta do. I just hope STRS doesn't lose a talented reefer such as yourself. Also folks may not all know the history of this tank. if I recall correctly, this tank was originally Gary M.'s and housed his TOTM display. Thus whomever gets this tank acquires a pedigree lineage. I will think about getting a few bigger pieces of rock if you wind up selling by the pound. Whatever you wind up doing, the very best of luck!!

After a long discussion with my wife last evening I have decided to keep the tank and rebuild..Beth has convnced me to keep on reefing and that I would not be happy giving up suck a fantastic llifestyle. For me it is a hard thing to do after losing just about everything I have worked on for these past 2 years. But She is correct our lives would not be the same without reefing. For me it would have been the end of over 30 years of reef keeping.

I almost quit the hobby 1-2 months back after buying a $300 calcium reactor and blowing it up in my basement! :mad2: I kicked a kalk dripper across the room and said a bunch of bad words as you could imagine but I seriously considered quitting. I thought about it for 3 or 4 days but my wife talked me out of it. She said I would never be happy with out my tank and I decided to stick with it. I didn't touch or look at the thing for about 2 weeks, luckly most of it is automated, but after a short break I am really glad I kept it! Also I have lost all of my fish twice and I know it is really depressing. Take your time setting it back up and try to enjoy it. If it is not enjoyable now give it a few weeks and trust me it will be fun again. Glad you are sticking with it. I mean, who would make fun of me at frag meets if you weren't there?

The real scoop!

The real scoop!

Ok here is the real scoop!

I just home from Larrybirds house, re-drilled some holes in his tank to accommodate some larger bulkheads....You would not want this tank anyway.....it is an awful looking tank (now that is empty). No one would want to buy it! So all of you that even considered it...save your money!! :) Got you John!!!

All kidding aside, John is not going to get out and he is not going to sell his tank, besides he just built an awesome new Co2 reactor that would be way overkill on that dinky little 90gal.

So I am going to propose that we have a "Welcome back to your senses coral party" for John, so when he gets everything back up and running he can get some cool frags from anyone that is willing to donate....key word is donate!

So when you read this John, give me a date for when you will be ready to add corals and we can arrange a visit from some local reefers with some new additions.....you supply the beer!

Any takers......send me a PM....let's help out a fellow reefer!!!
