So I was lucky enough to score a 220 gal tank from a guy on e-bay for $150. I had to drive 4 hours to go get it at the last min before his landlord junked it. The next morning when I was unloading the tank I noticed two damaged areas where it road in the back of the truck that have me concerned. The damage is to the edge of right side panel. It has chips on the right and left side. See pics below..

My question is How can this be fixed ?

2 Do you think it is possible that I might be ok without a repair.. I don't really want 220 gal of saltwater emptying into my living room.

Sorry, I misread it. I think the safest way is probably to cut the pane out and replace it with a new one. I dont know if any of those glass fillers work well on aquariums or not.

It's hard to tell how far the damage goes, is it all the way through? My 200 has had a chip in it since delivery and has been set up without any problems for over 10 years. So...
I would put water in it up over the damage, just to see if it leaks.

I just replaced the back panel on a 265 and it was alot easer than i thought it would be. I had about $200 in glass and 3 tubes of silcone. You just have to make sure you get all the old silcone off and clean
