Hello fellow reef and fish enthusiast!! I have a problem , we were transporting a 220 reef ready glass aquarium on a pick up , we only lose end the bulk heads underneath the prefilter boxes . But we put 2x4 underneath the prefilter side so the plumbing would not hit the bed of the pick up.. We wanted to reuse the plumbing and try not to cut them off. Big mistake , the ride home was rough and the 2x4s some how slipped out and the bottem and top of the hole were the plumbing goes threw got chipped up!!! Not cracked just chipped. Would it leak even though there's a rubber gasket on the inside of the return plumbing line? If so is there a remedy to this situation ? Please help what can I do!! Thanks

Can you post a picture? Are you talking about where the bulkhead goes through the tank for your drains and returns? Is so then no it shouldn't leak as long as the rubber gasket that's on the bulkhead covers it. The only way to know for sure is to plug the bulk head and do a water test.

Yes.. The bulk heads holes were the drain and return go .. On the inside and a little on the outside. Glass is chipped

Don't use silicone when you first assemble, if it's just chipped around the drill site the flange should put enough pressure on the outside of the gasket to seal. If it still leaks you can put a light coating of silicone around it after fully tightening.
