Please pardon the speed of this build as each piece of equipment is very expensive, anyways to get up to date I bought a marineland 220g corner oveflow and built a DIY stand out of 2x6's. My contractor is coming tomorrow to cut out the hole for the tank and Im having trouble determining how tall to cut the hole. the tank is 30 inch high and I was thinking cut the hole in drywall .5 inch down from the bottom of the teeth in the overflow. Does anyone know if this will be fine?

If you are talking about an in-wall installation with only one side viewable through the wall, you should consider including extra space above the front of the tank for a door or panel that will allow you access to the front of the tank from the wall side - say, 20-24" tall.

Yeah thank you, I talked with the cabinet guys and they will be building us some cabinets above the tank with hinges on the top so it opens like a garage door.
