220v Ballast

I have been looking for 220v equipment because a electrician friend told me that it would be a little cheaper on my electric bill.

Check out my POST on 220 volt equipment

Anyway, I noticed that your 250-watt CV-250EB can bee special ordered for 220v? Is there any price difference? Also, how long would it take the order to get in? In addition, do you have any info on 220v pumps?

Hi Doug,

The CoralVue 250watt can be special order in 220v for same price, $104.00. Probably take about 1 week for us to get it instock. I've heard 220v will save you on your electric and then also had other electricians tell us it doesn't make any difference, it's just how it pulls the electric draw, but who knows. I imagine you'll get some benifits out of it.

On the pumps, only pump we can special order in 220v is Iwaki 100 and some of the Dolphin pumps can be 220v and some are dual so you can wire them either way.

thanks

Thanks Jason

Thanks Jason

I will keep that in mind! I will be talking to my electrical friend next week and see what he thinks. Also I forgot to ask this earlier can you also get VHO ballast in 220v?

Hi Doug,

Yes, we can get the IceCap 430 or IceCap 660 tuned to 220v. It cost an extra 20.00, takes about 10 days to have it upgraded.

thanks

jason
