I am planning on buying a AC 3, and would like to use it to controll my JBJ 1hp 220v chiller. How do I setup electiral wiring to the AC 3. I heard something about rigging a DC-4 or DC-8 with 220v, but i know very little about electrical stuff.
Please Advise,

use can also Use X10 as they make 220v modules for X10s... however I would be more Worried about the Amps your chiller draws more than Anything...

If you are the DIY type then you can use an external relay that has a 120V AC coil voltage. The coil portion of the relay is connect to a power cord that is plugged into one of the outlets of the direct connect box. When the relay is turned on through the DC8 then, the relay's contacts are closed. The relays contacts should be connected in series with one of the chillers hot wires. The type of relay needed is a SPST (single pole single through) with a 120V AC coil, and 220V 20 or 30 Amp contacts. You should be able to find such a device at a good electronics component store.
