I'm back....and ready to jump back in, feet first in the deep end, speedo, everything!

Dawn, the tank looks great! I have always liked the shimmer. I think that's what we used to go for with metal halides. I think that's what it looks like if you're diving.

Thank you Niven for the kind words!

Yep, when I serviced tanks for a lfs, I loved the ones with metal halides because of the shimmer. It reminded me of when I snorkled. Back in those days I had VHOs which of course did not have shimmer and neither did the T5s that I had after the VHOs.

Tank is here!

I have a 50 gallon water trough sump in the basement that's been running about 2 weeks with Marcorock from BRS.
Trying to decide if I can use 1" PEX for drain/return lines to the basement sump?
Also planning on switching out the 50 gallon to a 150 gallon sump, for more liquid and more overflow room.

I’ve never looked into/used PEX but, as long as you can get non-metal fittings I don’t see any reason you couldn’t. As long as it’s compatible with the tank’s bulkheads.

They have non metal connectors, but I need to figure out the crimping pieces. They are either copper (I know) or stainless steel (not sure about) or I think they have a plastic version.
There is also the shark bite connectors, but they have a piece of metal on the inside of the connector, but I dont think it ever touches water....

Let me know what you find out. I’d be curious to know.
