230/3 Question

I just purchased a new 230/3 skimmer for my sump. It is installed and running, but I'm not sure what the water level should be for optimum skimming and how high the water should get in the center column. I have the manual, but it's a bit vague on these matters.

Thanks in advance,
Jon

Their is a fill line minimum and maximum on the skimmer, it is the front on the clear cylinder portion. I would fill to the maximum line and open the venturi three turns. That is pretty much it, from their after 2 weeks close it or open it in 1/8th- 1/4th turn increments to get a tea colored skimmate, after an adjustment wait a couple days. You really can't dial it in any other way, the compact size eliminates most of the foam column height adjustments and it is just done by skimmate color. It will be a lighter skimmate.
