Hi Deebs,

Awesome tank man. I also have an AP 24 - talk about nano envy.
I'm new in the hobby and was wondering if I can get some advice from you.

Currently, I'm using a hydro flo as a return with a 900 maxi jet. ( I should get a 1200 huh?) I'm using an oceanic uv sterilizer as a tube to connect my hydro flo and mj 900.
I want to get rid of my uv sterilizer and just use a flexible tube. Would you know how to set that up?
I also just ordered a media basket from InTank. How is your basket set up?

Thanks in advance for the help Deebs.

Hey thanks pbernardo711! Ya the AP 's are nice little tanks for first time reefers or advanced. Welcome to the forums and this addicting hobby =P. The 900 is fine for a return pump I wouldn't say its that big of a difference to to go out and buy the 1200, But if you want it wouldnt hurt. The 900 is rated 230gph and the 1200 is rated at 295gph. I have never used the hydro flo so I cant tell you much there sorry, I just have my maxijet hooked up to a tube that runs striaght into my display tank. Im my media basket I run filter floss on top, chemipure mid, and cheato in the third chamber. HOPE THIS HELPS =) and Happy Reefing!

just an update on the tank...everythings doing great, been busy this summer but here is a picture I took of it today.

I am also new to the Ap 24 tank I just down sized from a 48gall tall. I would appreciate any avice or help that I can get. I am still trying to figure out how to use the back bulkhead, my tank current uses a 1200 for "return",
I was wondering how does the filter in the back actually gets in water.
I know this is a real stupid question, I am use to canister filters.

Hey! they are cool little tanks you should have a lot of fun with it. The return just pushes water into your display tank and the water will flow into the teeth on the left side of the tank into the back sponge creating a constant cycle.

I have the same water level in the back that I do in the front, not sure if this is correct, sorry for all the stupid questions I am used to my cascade canister filter which was plug and play. I am having a huge problem finding parts since it is discontiuned I want to keep the hood but need the hinges and a new splash screen

Tank looks good so far. ya the water level will be the same from back to front. as long as your pump is working then your fine. Heres a picture of my tank around that time and my tank now (15 months later). Just goes to show how much can change if you put the time and energy into something. HAPPY REEFING! feel free to ask more questions! I wish I had asked more when I started.
