Nice tank! Looking really good.

It may be the angle, but it looks like the rock formation goes fairly high toward the top of the tank. I'd remove the top 1/3 of the rock to make room for coral grow out. It will look too sparse and low at first, but just right as the corals mature.

I have 4 x 400 mh skimmer is etss 800 thinking of switching looking to start with some sps and such

I will post picks equipment soon

Thanks Nicole i dont know what i did wrong

I think your picture link is broken partially because it was too large. RC's picture size limit is 50k so you will need to either
1. reduce the picture's resolution
2. post on another site (photobucket) and then provide the link.

On another note, you may want to give it some more time before adding SPS corals. Six weeks may be long enough to add some small softies and a couple fish, but most SPS require very stable mature tanks. Once you have reached that point let me know and I'd be happy to get you started with some frags.

How close are your MH to the water? Are you having any temp issues? I ask because my canopy is quite low and I'm now looking into lighting so I can attempt corals in my larger tank.

currently im between 78 and 82 which i expected due to total of 4 lights at 400 each. md are about 7 to 8 inches from water today im adding fans to canapy and conecting the chiller want to stay as close to 79 as posible

It's really hard for you to do the maintenace of your tank since your canopy open up. It's also hard for reaching to the bottom of the tank. Btw, your tank is really nice.

So... if you are using luminacs or pendants, and are concerned with heat, mount the luminarc/pendant outside the canopy and make the bottom of it flush with the top of the inside of the canopy. But after seeing gcarrols tank, I am convinced I am going open top next time. Anyways, the tank looks amazing. Nice job.

beautiful tank!!!! i am currently finishing my stand and canopy almost exactly like that. im so happy to see it looks good, i was nervous about the color. i will finish my last coat tomorrow and post pics....
