First of all, thanks for the very kind words.
The tank has been cruising along lately. I am just enjoying it with not much to do with it other than the typical, regular maintenance. I did do some fairly severe fragging on a couple of my corals in a need to both make more room and acquire some frags for a swap to benefit our local reef club. his did open the tunnel up a bit which used to be the valley between the two rock structures.

I also did a recent water change which was promptly followed by a coral spawning event. Here's a couple shots taken at night with a flashlight and the camera's flash...
Here's a AquaController graph showing the water change depicted at the blue circle and the start of the spawn depicted by the red circle.
It took several hours of skimmer cleaning and filter sock replacements to get the water back from a light milkiness. The skimmer didn't start foaming like normal again for a couple of days. Unfortunately, having just done the water change a day before, I didn't have any water to do a proper water change after the spawning. But, all is well now and the tank and corals seem none-the-weary from this event.
As far as speaker building, I haven't built any for quite a few years now. I just don't have the time to do so even though it's a passion of mine and has been since I was in my early teens. Here's a couple of photos I scrounged up. First is my speakers. These are black lacquer (about 8 coats worth) with ScansSpeak and Vifa drivers and some really top notch crossover components (seen at the right in their separate, outboard housings). The dual subwoofers are 1.5" thick MDF walled boxes with tempered Masonite honeycomb internal bracing and 15" drivers. These are powered by 1000-watt dual amps.

The main LR speakers are driven by McIntosh tube amps (seen on the TV stand). The sound is quite phenomenal... if I don't say so myself.
Here's another set I built for my brother-in-law and are also are black lacquer (not quite as many coats though

) which utilize Aerogel drivers and the same wall and internal bracing structure as well as being a ported box design. The subwoofer is a 12" design with the dedicated 250-watt amplifier on its back panel. The grills I custom made of steel rod, bent and welded together prior to being powder coated for longevity. The crossover is seen to the right of the speaker. I was pleasantly surprised how well these sound and how well the subwoofer melds with the main speakers. My brother-in-law seems pleased.
