Here's my Glass Cages 240 (8 x 2 x 2). The stand is Glass Cages as well. Melev made the custom acrylic sump for me (3/4 inch acrylic, 6ft x 18in x 15in) and I could not have asked for more. Excellent sump! Thanks Melev! This tank is still a work in progress but initially it'll be a Live Rock and Fish Only tank. I'll upgrade my lighting later. The tank will be positioned as an island in my the living room.
Here is my equipment list so far:
ASM G4+ Skimmer w/Sedra 9000 pump + gate valve mod
2 250w Eheim Jager Heaters
1 Sequence Dart for Return
40w Aqua UV Sterilizer
2 Vortech pumps
2 Sequence Darts for 2 seperate closed loops
ReefKeeper2
2 or 3 TLF Phosban Reactors (2 for phosban, 1 for carbon)
2 48" All Glass 110w power compact fixtures

Sump -> Dart -> UV -> Out the back of the stand and up for returns over the top. I'll be using the "Herbie Method" in my overflows so I needed to do my returns over the top.

2 drains under the right overflow can be seen. Main 1.5 inch into 1.25 inch pipe. I have a gate valve to control overflow water level. That drain T's off into my Refugium and also continues the length of the stand to the sumps skimmer chamber. Gate Valve can be seen to control the amount of water being directed into the Refugium. 2nd drain is an emergency 1 inch drain that dumps into the skimmer chamber.

The stand initially did not have end doors on it. I had to cut each end to fit the huge sump Melev made for me.

You can see where my two 1" emergency drains end to the right of the skimmer. Don't worry the duct tape is only temporary. I still need to secure some of the pipe under the stand.
Left Side End Of Tank
Here you can see where my two 1.25" drains end. The one in front is the left drain and behind is the drain from the other side of the tank.
Back Pic
You can see where my return is coming through the back side of the stand. I'll be running it up over the tank and probably split each end into 2-3 arms and use locline fittings.
I'll be making a cover for the rear part of the canopy. My couch will be against the back of the tank.
I still need to drill holes for my closed loop. The holes will be going to the left of the left overflow and on the right of the right overflow. My 2 Darts will be positioned outside of the stand directly under each overflow inlet hole. I still have not decided if I want to drill any closed loop return holes in the tank or if I just want to return the closed loops along the back side and over the top of the tank like I am with my sump returns. I will be doing wood work to pretty much cover everything to the left of the left overflow and everything to the right of the right overflow (back of the tank). So the back of the tank will be viewable only between the overflows. I think this is still a large viewing area. If I knew I would be doing a island I would have had the overflows built in the sides of the tank but oh well.
