I received confirmation that the tank was shipped from AGE today and should arrive sometime on Wednesday.

many of the parts did come from lowes , but many are just pieces i either had laying around or got from work .
the concept as a whole should be easy to replicate though .
for example - the mech that raises and lowers the canopy - the worm screw with the handle came from a craftsman table saw ! so i don't know if you could get them through sears as a replacement part or not .

A local reefer to me used an actuator to raise and lower his canopy. It's a sweet set-up.

heres a few more pics .
this shows the handle end of the winch set-up
here it is painted . the long slots on each side are were the power cords for the lights pass thru .
here is a pic of one of the slide outs on each side . this is where all the timers will be , so now he won't have to stick his head under the cabinet.

It will be a 400 watt bulb. I will probably go Aqua Connect.

The tank finally arrived today. I started out the day seeing this when I pulled up to my LFS:
The crating from AGE was top notch. I would guess that there was an additional 200 lbs of wood put into the crating.
It took about 5 of us to load it onto the back of the truck but we made it.
I was able to get the local fire department to help out.:lol:
I live about an hour from the store and followed behind the truck and kept invisioning the box rolling off.
After about an hour we were able to remove all of the wood from around the tank.
