24G Aquapod Enough Light For Anemone?

I just ordered an aquapod with the 64 watts of pc lighting and was wondering if any anemone could be kept under that amount of light successfully?

Well I hate to tell you this, but you're not going to keep those Anemones under your lighting conditions. For that sized tank you would need ~200w of PC lighting and parabolic reflectors to be able to keep them. It would be cheaper in the long run to go ahead and upgrade to MH, which BTW is now more affordable than ever.

My suggestion on a fixture would be this:

HTH and thanks for the complement :)

That's what I was figuring, but I want to keep the closed top look. I'll just have to stick with zoo's and softies.

Thanks Travis!

a bubble-tip should be able to survive in there given that you can keep water parameters in check

there's a huge RBTA at a LFS for months now in a 30G TALL with just 65W of PC

Nice aquascaping too! :)
Have you noticed any decline in it's health or has it lost any color or shrunk at all?

How do you determine the acceptable PAR of a given organism? I would like to provide good lighting as well. I have VHO's and chose a LTA from a tank with the same lighting. However, I want it to get enough light. Any ideas?

Thanks, and no color loss and the goofy thing is about a dinner plate in size now. I am having to move "stuff" out of its way.
It is also a PIG when it is time to feed.

Good luck, and dammit have fun!!!!
