24G JBJ Nano Dimmer

I have a 24G JBJ Nano LED.

I'm really frustrated with the lack of versatility with the lighting, can't dim the lights, can't separately time blues and whites, etc.

Has anyone used a third-party programmable LED dimmer/driver on the stock JBJ lighting?

I want to try and modify the lighting, but I want to keep the stock hood, etc.

What drivers does it use as standard?

Might be easier to rip out the standard drivers and run the LEDs from and arduino (or typhon) and meanwell LDDs...

not sure. I sent an email to the manufacturer the other day. i'm still under warranty so i didn't want to pull it a part. with that said, i don't think it is that sophisticated of a system. i know that they have two different light sources running off of a single ballast, which limits options

Yes, it can be done. The LEDs are the easy part. as you can just remove the driver board and connect a single LDD to each strip of LEDs. You can even use the same power supply (ballast) to run them. The fans will have to be wired directly into the power supply because they are 24v fans. If you use a different power supply then you will have to figure out how to make the voltage match the 24 volts for those fans (or replace them with a different fan).

After that you can use a typhoon or any other PWM type LED controller to allow for control and dimming of the LEDs.

It will void your warranty by doing it. Krazie:jester:
