24v jumper for a 6105

I just recently received a 6105 but it only had the 15V jumper. According to the instructions there should also be a 24V jumper. Where can I get one of these jumpers?

Actually you should have got an 18V jumper, I would assume it was a mistake and the numbers were misread. If you PM me I will send an 18V. The 6105 has a bigger prop now and the voltage is reduced and the flow is the same as the old 24V. It uses less power and makes less noise this way.

If it is a newer 6105, yes, only the very first 6105's with 42mm props used a 24V jumper. Using the 45mm prop with24V jumper could cause a pump failure long term.

No clue but have to assume it is the first version since it came with a 24V jumper and also referenced the 24V jumper in the manual and on the box. The box says 6105.000_A and the pump was purchased from reefexotics.com in October 2008.

Is there any advantage to using the larger prop/lower voltage and can this pump be upgraded with a new prop/jumper?

It would be the older version, the newer drive unit is quieter, that is the main advantage. If the pump is too noisy, we can do an upgrade.

Ah, yes I see (hear) what you mean. When I put the 24v jumper in I can definitely hear it even with the pump 18" deep unless I turn the pot all the way down. Is this something I can upgrade myself or does it require being sent in?
