I have a deep blue 30 gallon and recently purchased a deep blue quad t5. After getting it home I relised it did not work. Should I replace with another solorxtreme or get a different fixture all together? Or would it make more sense to go with a DIY led kit?

I'm putting two PAR 38's on the same size tank. Eventally it will be upgraded to a DIY multichip led system. Another option that would be perfect for that size is 1 AI SOL unit.

Ya I would love to put a Sol or a350 over it but I am a college student and unfortunately currently on a budget. I already have one ecoxotic par 38 over the center but I it doesn't cover the whole tank. So I wanted to add one more 12 led par38 or find another option. Would adding two ecoxotic panoramas to the sides of the par38 make any sense?

I don't think the panoramas would give you enough coverage . Plus it would probally be cheaper to just add a second PAR 38.

Ya that's what I was worried about with the panoramas. Anyone know that spread of the rapid 12 bulb par 38, And about how high off the sand bed it should be?
