250 watt DE

Looking for a recommendation for 250 watt DE bulb.
Something in between the blue of the Phoenix and a crisp white. So basically Im looking for a white with a distinct hint of blue. Im afraid that the Phoenix will be too blue. So, something between Phoenix 14000K and a pure, crisp white (no yellow at all) would probably be perfect. It will be run on a e-ballast (ARO or Ice Cap).

i was lookin for the same thing, so im going to ride along, but i was looking at the ab10k, its supposed to be a 13 k looking bulb.

The AB is a 13oooK bulb in the 150 watt de version. It actually measures at 13000K unshielded and just under 11000K shielded. The 250 watt de version is a bit lower K, closer to the 9000K point, shielded. I had the 150 watt. It's a crisp white, no yellow at all but no real blue tint. Maybe a slight hint of blue. If you want Crisp white, white, it's a good choice. The 250 should be white too.

I just installed 3 of these three days ago. The bulbs still need to break in, but they may be just what you are looking for.

I got my megachrome coral bulbs fired up for the first time today and they are just what I expected. They are crisp white with a hint of blue. They still need to brake in though.
