Probably.. I'll get back to you.

Np Ron JLMK
I think we have a little time as most of our cash flow is slow these days might take some time for everyone to find a little extra cash.
My other 2 bulb's I wanted just went out the window with my new electric bill lol

Hey Paul, don't mean to hijack your thread, but $69.99 is the regular price at
SOSLIGHTING.COM

But we should support our local LFS and John is a hell of a guy!

I maybe in on this once my pocket recovers from the bay area LFS run. I'll let you know.

True
But !
You pay $8.36 shipping and then add insurance (wouldn't ship bulb's with out)
So $78.31 for 1 bulb but if you buy 2 bulb's it's still the same shipping.
And SOS don't have any coral or live stock I want lol :lol2:
Anyway ya let me know we need to do 12 and we are 8 short as of now.

If somebody can tell me how to go about picking up the MARS PAR meter, I'll order replacement bulbs for any that were not producing PAR that was up to snuff. I just left a voicemail for Mikid in case he has it.

Thanks,
Ron

Hey Ron if you get it and are willing you can stop by and check my PAR then after I replace my bulbs check it again so we can see the difference you will have results from yours also.
Would be interesting to see the difference at least I think so.
But then I'm just a Reef Geek LoL :D

Based on my previous results, new Radiums should be ~1400 right under the surface of the water. I'll know within a couple of minutes of using a PAR meter if I'm losing PAR in my bulbs.

Reflector test. Hands down win to the home made reflector. Wow, that a while ago.

Ron

it looks like the spread on the left is much better but I notice there aint a big difference 16" down on each side thou.
Are those running on the same ballast ?
would of been intersting if you switch the out puts on the ballast to see if the par is the same and if one ballast is putting out more than the other.

Ballast info is at the bottom of the photo. It's a dual ballast. I interpret the result of 200 vs 260 and 200 vs 120 to be huge. 25% plus par increase just from a reflector is huge.

Ron I was looking at the top results L.S 1390 R.S 1070 I figured the lower results would be off by way more than they are.
L.S 260 R.S 200 @ 16" Maybe I am missing something ? no more  for me tonight heck I was on my 2nd one that's one more than last night lol

1390/1070=~1.3
260/200=~1.3

It's a 30% difference both at the top and at 16". Astonishingly way more than I expected. 30% is HUGE.

Ron what I meant is with that depth I would think the R.S would be alot less being the reflector aint as good.
I just thought the fall off would be greater but I guess I'm wrong it's the same difference all the way down.
I know I see a great difference in my tank since putting 2 Lumenarc 3's on it and getting rid of my junk home made one's I had.
