250W Aquaconnect 14k bulb - what ballast setting?

Hey Jeremy, I just installed 4 of the 250W Aquaconnect 14k bulbs. I run a galaxy select-a-watt, should I set it to 250 or HQI? Thanks.

I might have answered the question. Sanjays lighting guide shows the same spectral graph regardless of the input wattage but much higher ppfd when ran on a PFO M80 at 332 watts than the Reef Fabatic electronic at 256 watts. I just tested both settings on the galaxy with a kill-a-watt. It draws 282 at the 250W setting and 296 at the HQI. I guess I just need to decide whether I want more par or not. Agree?

HQI setting, as they were made to be run on an M80 ballast.

Thanks, that's how I'm running them. They look great paired with BMLED actinic strips
